Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Cyber Rakshak mobile application or visiting the Cyber Rakshak website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Laabam One Business Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd.

2. Description of Service

Cyber Rakshak is a mobile cyber safety and evidence platform that provides:

  • Cyber threat detection (SMS scanning, link scanning)
  • Device security health checks
  • Digital evidence capture and secure storage (Evidence Vault)
  • SOS emergency alerting
  • Children safety monitoring (with parental consent)
  • Women safety features
  • Incident reporting and management
  • Community threat feed

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid Indian mobile number (+91) to register
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must not share your PIN or biometric access with others
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use the Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one active account

4. Consent & Permissions

Cyber Rakshak is a consent-based platform, not spyware. By using specific features, you grant explicit consent for the related data collection:

  • SMS Scanner: Consent to read incoming SMS for threat analysis
  • Call Recording: Consent to record calls for evidence (where legally permitted)
  • Location: Consent to access GPS for SOS and evidence capture
  • Camera/Mic: Consent for evidence photo/video/audio capture

You may withdraw consent at any time from the Consent Management screen. Withdrawing consent will disable the related feature.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use Cyber Rakshak to monitor, record, or surveil any person without their knowledge and consent
  • Fabricate or tamper with digital evidence
  • File false reports or misuse the SOS feature
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass subscription or security restrictions
  • Share, resell, or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Evidence Vault

  • Evidence captured through Cyber Rakshak is encrypted and stored securely
  • Evidence is immutable — once created, it cannot be edited or modified
  • You retain ownership of all evidence you capture
  • We do not access, view, or analyze your evidence content without your explicit request
  • You are responsible for ensuring your evidence capture complies with applicable laws
  • We provide tools for court-admissible evidence export but make no guarantees about admissibility in specific cases

7. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Free tier provides basic features; Premium (₹99/mo) and Family (₹199/mo) plans unlock advanced features
  • Payments are processed through Google Play Billing
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Refunds are subject to Google Play Store refund policies
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice

8. Limitation of Liability

Cyber Rakshak is a safety tool, not a guaranteed protection system. We provide:

  • No guarantee that all threats will be detected
  • No guarantee that SOS alerts will reach recipients (depends on network availability)
  • No guarantee that evidence will be accepted by courts (depends on jurisdiction)
  • No liability for damages arising from reliance on threat analysis results

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Intellectual Property

The Cyber Rakshak name, logo, design, and all associated software are the intellectual property of Laabam One Business Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data before termination. Evidence data will be retained for 90 days after account deletion to allow recovery, after which it is permanently deleted.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
