Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Cyber Rakshak software, or by visiting the Cyber Rakshak website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Laabam One Business Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd, registered at 285 A, Anna Nagar East Cross Street, Sathamangalam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu 625020, India.

2. Description of Service

Cyber Rakshak is sold as three product lines. They are at different stages, and these Terms apply to each of them to the extent it is actually available to you:

  • Antivirus for Windows — built, not yet downloadable. On-demand and USB scanning, quarantine, and device posture checks with one-click fixes. We publish no download for it today. macOS and Linux builds are not released
  • Mobile safety — not yet released. Evidence vault, SOS alerting, incident reporting, link checking, device health checks and family safety features. The app is not listed on any app store
  • Web & server security — not yet built. It is priced so that it can be evaluated, and it cannot be purchased today

The account, evidence and incident services behind these products are running.

3. User Accounts

  • You register with your name and email address, or with a supported social sign-in (Google, Facebook or Microsoft). You can also sign in with an Indian mobile number and a one-time passcode sent to it
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your password, one-time passcodes or PIN with anyone
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms on your behalf
  • One person may not maintain more than one active account

4. Consent & Permissions

Cyber Rakshak is a consent-based platform, not spyware. A feature that needs access to something on your device asks for it, the grant is recorded on our servers with a timestamp, and the evidence endpoints refuse any request that arrives without your consent on record.

What we ask for:

  • Location: for SOS, and to stamp a piece of evidence at the moment it is captured
  • Camera and microphone: to capture the photo, video and audio evidence you choose to record
  • Notifications: to deliver security alerts

What we do not do:

  • We do not read your SMS. The mobile app requests no SMS permission at all. Messages are checked only when you submit one yourself
  • We do not record calls. Android does not permit third-party call recording and we do not attempt a workaround

You may withdraw any consent at any time. There is no consent screen in the app yet, so email us at support@cyberrakshak.ai and we will record the change. Withdrawing your evidence consent stops evidence being uploaded to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use Cyber Rakshak to monitor, record, or surveil any person without their knowledge and consent
  • Fabricate or tamper with digital evidence
  • File false reports or misuse the SOS feature
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass subscription or security restrictions
  • Share, resell, or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Evidence Vault

  • An evidence record cannot be edited or deleted once written. The server refuses any change to the file, its hash, when it was captured or where, and refuses deletion outright — including by us, and including at your request. Only the verification flag and the record's metadata can be changed afterwards
  • Each record stores a SHA-256 hash of the file, which our server computes from the bytes it receives — not one supplied by the app. When you ask us to verify a record, we read the stored file back and compute the hash again: if the file has been altered since it was saved, the two will not match and we report it as altered
  • Evidence files are encrypted by us before storage, each with its own key. We do not offer end-to-end encryption: we hold the keys, so we could in principle read a file, and a lawful order could require us to
  • You retain ownership of all evidence you capture
  • Our staff can see evidence records, and the account they belong to, in our internal administration tools. Beyond that, we share them only as our Privacy Policy describes
  • You are responsible for ensuring your evidence capture complies with applicable laws
  • You can export a record and its details. We make no claim that any court or authority will admit it — admissibility is a matter for the court, and turns on how material was obtained at least as much as on how it was stored

7. Subscriptions & Payments

  • The Windows antivirus includes a 90-day free trial with no payment details required. The trial belongs to your account rather than to a device, so reinstalling does not start it again
  • The antivirus and mobile lines each have a free tier alongside Personal, Family and Business plans; web & server security is sold as per-site or per-server licences with no free tier. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. Plan names and current prices are published on our pricing page
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials
  • A subscription is bought one period at a time and does not renew by itself. Nothing is charged to you again unless you buy again
  • Refunds and cancellation are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is published in full there
  • We will give 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you are on

8. Limitation of Liability

Cyber Rakshak is a safety tool, not a guaranteed protection system. We provide:

  • No guarantee that all threats will be detected
  • No guarantee that SOS alerts will reach recipients (depends on network availability)
  • No guarantee that evidence will be accepted by courts (depends on jurisdiction)
  • No liability for damages arising from reliance on threat analysis results

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Intellectual Property

The Cyber Rakshak name, logo, design, and all associated software are the intellectual property of Laabam One Business Solutions OPC Pvt Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under the plan you have bought.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Export anything you need before you go: evidence records can be exported one at a time. There is no one-click export of a whole account yet.

Evidence records cannot be deleted — not by you, not by us, and not after a waiting period. The rule that stops an exhibit being altered also stops it being removed, so an evidence record created today still exists after an account is closed. Our Privacy Policy sets out what this means for erasure requests.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
